Going Beyond the Cupcake

Since we first opened our doors at Sweet a little over a year ago, we have been successfully satisfying San Francisco’s by providing a wide array of artisan baked goods and confections. Like many other bakeries, we fell victim to the cupcake craze and couldn’t help but to offer our own unique cakes.

Our cupcakes are by far the most popular of all our desserts, as we sell dozens of dozens each week. While we do find them exceptional, we’ve come to realize Cupcakes are just not for us. We like them and all, but our creativity goes way beyond the little cakes. So, we have decided to do something about it; we will no longer be known as just another cupcake shop but a full blown gourmet artisan dessert shop.

Now, this isn’t to say that we will be getting rid of our cupcakes all together–even we would miss our caramel filled salted chocolate ganache cupcake and our roasted red velvet cupcakes–we will just have fewer available, and instead will be filling our shop with newer items, and more desserts that we love.

If you have tried our tarts before, you know how irresistible and satisfying they are, yet we have never offered more than a few at time, even though they are a staff favorite. Now you can look forward to a wider selection of unique and delicious tarts: Chocolate peanut butter, Creme Brulee pie, seasonal fruit crumbles, Lemon curd in a rosemary shell, and so many more to come.

Now, for the new sweet we are most excited about….

Light, crispy, and perfectly sweet macaroons. They’re so delightfully perfect that we cannot believe we did not bring them in sooner. Our flavors range from the classic pistachio, almond and chocolate, to the new and just fun Root beer Float, vanilla Raspberry and Orange Spice. These flavors will change weekly, as we have many more to come. So come on in and try one…or two, and who knows, maybe you just might find your new favorite!
